Burp Giggles

I've had several incidents over the past few weeks that have pushed me well into the, "Yep, I'm a mom," category.

First, when Avery vomited up some food after an attempt to eat some solids, I knew it was coming and I held out my hand to catch it.

Second, we were in the car on the way back from Tahoe and she was fussing. She doesn't normally fuss in her car seat unless something is actually wrong, e.g. diaper issue. I didn't want to stop just to check, so to be sure, I did the old finger swipe. Something I swore I'd never do. And, yes, it was dirty. Thank goodness for hand sanitizers, water, and wipees.

Third, I found a guaranteed way to get Avery to giggle. Doing it makes me a bit sick to my stomach for the next 15 minutes or so, but the payoff is totally worth it. Please don't ask me how I discovered the magic of burping on Avery. Without further ado, I present Burp Giggles!

I'm sure she'll love that one when she grows up!

Oh my goodness, this is hysterical! It's amazing what we will do for giggles, isn't it?

So cute, Megan! My personal "gross mom" thing (haven't done it yet but have been tempted) is using a licked finger to wipe something off baby's face. GROSS! I fear it's going to happen soon though...I'm already using the 5 second rule for dropped binkies and bottles!

Avery is such a beautiful happy girl, and such a ham too! Brady sends some kisses!

Too cute! Right, like you haven't been burping on poor Miss Avery since the beginning. Isn't baby laughter the best thing on earth?
