Updates

A post will be coming soon with more pictures or a video ... something interesting to look at! But for now, just a few updates.

Pointing
Avery is pointing at everything. She loves it when she points and then someone points back until doing the ET finger touch. That just makes her giggle. On our daily dog walks through the trail, she points at the trees. We stop and I do the sign for tree and she smiles. Her most frequent pointing subjects are Eddie and any pictures of smiling babies or kids.

Specific Book Recollection
I read Avery a book that shows eyes, nose, toes, etc via pictures. "Two eyes, two eyes" with pictures of an animal on one side and pictures of a baby on the other side. Each time I read it to her, I point to the subject (eyes, nose, toes, etc) in the pictures, then on Avery. Today I started to point to her cheeks and her nose without the book. She looked around and was able to locate that specific book and wanted to read it! I thought it was a coincidence, but then tested her on this again by distracting her with another book and placing the eye book in another location. Then I pointed out her nose. She immediately looked around and kept looking until she located the book, then she lunged forward to grab it so we could read it.

Bath Time
Bath time continues to be Avery's favorite activity. She has a running crawl she does (at least when she first starts) and it is most frequently utilized when she realizes that bath time is near.

Signing
Avery's doing the milk sign fairly often now. She also did the sign to be lifted up today, but it's possible that was a coincidence since she, as I mentioned above, she's pointing like mad. I think she's getting close to doing "all done" for when she's done eating, but that one is also tricky since she likes to flail her arms when eating anyway.

She's so aware of everything. And sharp as a tack!
